Log Home Staining
Here is the end result of proper preparation and a high quality staining process. For this project, we used CTA Products Outlast Q8 Log Oil, with two additives, the NBS-30 organic wood boring insect repellant, and the Mold Buster, mold preventative treatment, that slows the return of organic growth. The Q8 Log Oil is a slow curing, penetrating Oil that is transparent in nature, but has 6 available tones. This project called for the Medium Reddish Brown Tone, which dries to look like a nice Cedar Transparent Product. The Q8 is hand applied, with a two coat, wet on wet method of application, ensuring the logs are saturated with product. As you can see the end result is a spectacular finish the repels water, weather, and insects.
